Maestra Jazmen

Hello! My name is Jazmen. I am from the Bay Area and come from a family of 6 siblings. I am the second youngest in my family and the first to graduate college. My current hobbies are reading, mainly romance, and I also enjoy reading manga, which are Japanese comics. Additionally, I play dungeons & dragons with my friends. I picked up crocheting last year and although I am still a beginner, I enjoy making stuffed animals or pot holders. Last year, my boyfriend and I decided to elope in Las Vegas. We have two cats who are siblings that we adopted last year. 

As for my education, I graduated in 2017 with my AA in child development from my community college. During my time there, I took some infant courses and became infant qualified. I also worked at my community college’s infant room for a year. I decided to pursue higher education and graduated from Chico State in 2019 with my bachelors degree in Child Development. During my time there I gained a lot of work experience, I interned at various preschools and gained experience working with various age groups, I worked at the Chico Children’s Museum in downtown Chico and most recently I have worked at Little Discoveries Preschool for 3 years, working closely with children whose ages range from 3-4 year olds.

I am excited to join the family at Mi Escuelita Maya.
